Client Case Studies
Google Search Appliance Simplifies
In the competitive public relations space, the ability to quickly respond to a client's needs or propose innovations to a potential client is a requirement for success. Unfortunately, the corporate knowledge necessary is typically stored on personal computers, various office servers, and in the heads of hard to reach key people in different locations. After years of growth by acquisition, global PR firm Cohn & Wolfe (part of the Young & Rubicam / WPP family) found itself unable to fully capitalize on the corporate knowledge they had grown or acquired. They needed a collaboration tool for improved document management and an enterprise portal to help facilitate the process.
Silicon Space's "The Den" knowledge portal utilized the Google Search Appliance™ to bring together documents and files (such as strategy papers, industry analysis, and campaign management best practices) from anywhere on their network in an easy to find, easy to use, localized fashion. The Den's "Expertise Finder" helps users identify and contact other employees with specialized skills or knowledge.
The Den has resulted in better served, happier clients through a culture of collaboration, as well as a greatly simplified process of integrating newly acquired agencies and overall global management.
