Speed to Value is DATASKILL’s time tested engagement approach proven to rapidly connect with our clients, understand the business problems, devise solutions, and deliver a business-transforming result.
With this approach, DATASKILL streamlines the elapsed
time between the first meeting and project commencement while still
taking the necessary steps to clearly understand our client’s
needs and work together to achieve rapid ROI. DATASKILL uses
proven tools, such as the Business Value Assessment, to determine
where it makes sense to initially focus while gaining a deeper
understanding of the business. This approach allows DATASKILL
to provide the client with the quickest payback while, at the same
time, developing a comprehensive strategy.
Speed is driving the real-time enterprise and urgent
needs for real-time data.
Speed
shaves time and costs. When work is done faster and with no reduction
in quality, inventories shrink, the workforce becomes more
productive, and customer satisfaction improves.
Speed lowers business risk by helping companies
respond more efficiently and effectively to shifts, new technologies
and other changes in their market.
AIM is DATASKILL’s development methodology, which has evolved since our start in 1981.
In the 90’s DATASKILL adopted a Rational Unified
Process. With the acquisition of Rational by IBM, DATASKILL became
the #1 Rational Systems Integrator in North America. Pioneering a
faster, lighter footprint, "minimal and complete" methodology,
DATASKILL has been on the forefront of adapting the traditional RUP
with Agile Methodologies like XP.
DATASKILL’s AIM encompasses the OpenUP/Basic, the most agile
and lightweight form of OpenUp, an open source software development
process developed as part of the Eclipse Process Framework.
Known as the Basic Unified Process, OpenUP/Basic was
transitioned to the Eclipse Foundation in 2005 and later renamed
OpenUP/Basic. It preserves the essential characteristics of RUP to
include iterative development, use-cases and scenarios driving
development, risk management, and an architecture-centric approach.
The result is a much simpler process that is still true to RUP
principles, which targets small and co-located teams interested in
agile and iterative development.
DATASKILL strict adherence to
AIM ensures a rapid delivery within a repeatable, predictable, and
measurable framework. This iterative process guarantees results to
our clients on a regular basis, continually showing value as
development progresses towards the final deliverable:
Discover. Business Modeling, Simulation and
Optimization.
Define. Outline the Solution, create Functional
Specifications and Requirements Analysis Documents.
Design. Design the Solution Architecture and Framework, with a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Develop. Build Prototypes and Assemble the Solution
with Model-Driven Web Services.
Debug. Unit/System/Integration Testing and
Validation of Solution with Client.
