Health Information Provider Seeks Return Visitors*

The Challenge

This online health information provider offers a membership based website with health advice targeted towards specific health needs. Their website had a great deal of visitors sign up for membership but the bulk of the members weren't coming back. Since the company makes a portion of their revenue on ads, it is important the site receives return visitors.

The Solution

Dataskill assisted this client by rebuilding various portions of the site to encourage return visits by employing a team of eight people and utilizing an iterative development approach. The leaders of the team were located in the U.S. and worked closely with the client to analyze, design and organize logical segments of work that they would then guide the Senior Application Developers and Tester in Mexico to build and test. Multiple iterations were performed allowing the client to review progress early and often and make requirements adjustments as necessary without a big impact to the schedule and budget.

The Result

The project was deployed in October 2008. The client is pleased with the early results of the site and continuing to work with Dataskill on additional enhancements that will drive increased revenues and repeat traffic.
